Going ANY Further
From the Desk of Dr. Brian Simmons
Have you ever opened the book of Revelation hoping to understand more of God’s purposes—only to find yourself overwhelmed by fear?
You encounter seven churches, a heavenly throne, mysterious horsemen, sealed servants, golden bowls, and sounding trumpets.
You want to understand.
But perhaps you’ve heard so many different explanations that you hardly know where to begin.
And beneath all your questions is a deeper desire:
“Lord, I want to know You. Help me understand what You are revealing.”
That is a meaningful place to start.
Revelation introduces itself as the revelation of Jesus Christ. As we study its extraordinary visions, we have the opportunity to see more of His majesty, listen more closely to His words, and respond more fully to His invitation.
Imagine approaching this book with a heart ready to worship.
Imagine recognizing connections you once overlooked.
Imagine finding encouragement to remain faithful, confidence to draw near in prayer, and fresh desire to let Jesus shape your life.
That is the invitation at the heart of Mentoring with Brian Simmons.
In this mentoring journey, I’ll guide you through five connected courses exploring Revelation 1–9.
We’ll begin with the risen Christ and His messages to the churches. We’ll enter John’s vision of the throne room, examine the opening of the seals, explore the sealing of God’s servants, and follow the prayers of the saints to the golden altar.
Together, we’ll explore a Christ-centered, symbolic reading of these passages, examining their biblical connections and considering their spiritual applications.
You’ll have room to ask questions, weigh what you hear against Scripture, and reflect on what it means for your walk with God.
Because understanding carries an invitation to respond.
What is Jesus calling you to return to?
Where is He inviting you into deeper trust?
What influences are shaping your heart?
And how might a clearer view of His faithfulness change the way you pray for your family, face uncertainty, or respond to a difficult season?
Alongside the five courses, four special intensives will help you explore the Spirit of Revelation, the life of David, God’s work in wilderness seasons, and the seven pillars of wisdom.
These themes bring our study into the places where we actually live—our questions, relationships, decisions, burdens, and hopes.
You can come with years of biblical study.
You can come feeling unfamiliar with Revelation.
You can come with a prayer life you long to renew or a season of waiting you struggle to understand.
Bring a listening heart, an open Bible, and a willingness to grow.
My desire is to help you see Jesus more clearly, love Him more deeply, and carry what you discover into everyday life.
If that is the hunger of your heart, I invite you to join me.
Let’s open the Scriptures together—and make room for what God wants to form in us.

Brian Simmons
Passion & Fire Ministries
Chief Translator of The Passion Translation
Biography
Brian Simmons and his wife Candice have been described as true pioneers in ministry. As a spiritual father and mother, their teaching and spiritual gifts have opened doors in many nations to take the message of authentic awakening and revival to many. For the last 40 years, they have labored together to present Christ in His fullness wherever God sends them. Dr. Simmons is currently working as the lead translator of The Passion Translation.
After a dramatic conversion to Christ in 1971, Brian and Candice answered the call of God to leave everything behind and become missionaries to unreached peoples. Taking their three children to the jungle of Central America, they pioneered church plants for many years with the Kuna people group. While serving as missionaries, Dr. Simmons planted churches and established leadership for the churches that Jesus birthed. As a linguist, Brian also served on a team to translate the New Testament into the Paya-Kuna language
