Merry Christmas!
Tomorrow we celebrate the birth of the Savior of the world along with several billion people.
The first Christmas more than 2,000 year ago changed the world dramatically and forever.
Jesus (Yeshua) came for one reason – to seek and save that which was lost (Luke 19:10). That includes you and me.
I was lost and didn’t even know it. But fortunately, there were people who prayed for me and shared God’s truth with me.
The greatest day in my life was January 6, 2001 when I committed my life to Christ and was born again. That day the Holy Spirit (the Spirit of Christ) took up permanent residence in me and forever changed me.
That day, the LIGHT OF THE WORLD began shining in me and through me.
I consider it a tremendous privilege to be able to share the love of Christ with you and tens of thousands of people around the world on a regular basis.
It is my deep desire that every message we share from Empower 2000 (E2000) communicates to you and others, “I LOVE YOU.” That is the heart of our Heavenly Father.
No matter what you have been through or are going through, know “Jesus loves you.” And He is passionately pursuing you.
You matter to me and the E2000 team. But more importantly, you matter to God.
This year, SLOW DOWN and EXPERIENCE THE WONDER of Christmas with new eyes and new ears.
If you are born again, ask God how you can let His light shine through you in fresh ways to bless and encourage others.
Matthew 5:14,16 says, “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden… 16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
If you are not born again but desire to know God, then say this prayer meaning it: “Jesus, I believe you are the Savior of the world. I open my heart to you. Come in and dwell within me. I surrender my will to Yours. Be the LORD of my life.”
The Christmas season is a great time to reflect on the previous year and plan for the upcoming year.
Here are 3 simple questions to help you prepare for the new year:
- What went well this past year?
- Would could you have done better?
- What do you plan to do differently next year?
On New Year’s Eve, I will share with you some of the most important things that stood out for me in 2025 to inspire you to think and dream bigger.
Prayer Power
Most gracious and merciful Heavenly Father, thank You for the wonderful gift of your only begotten Son. Thank You for the love, joy, and peace that abound during the Christmas season. Help me to step back from the busyness and focus on the true meaning of Christmas. Help me to be a bright and shining light to those in need. Inspire me to good works that glorify You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen and hallelujah.
